Serene Communications worked with the Global Justice Centre on advocacy work for the women of Burma together with the Burma Lawyers Association and Burmese monks. Events were organized at the Institute for Child Mental Health at University College London and Houses of Parliament together with meetings with decision makers such as the then Attorney General Baroness Scotland. In March 2010 the UK was the second government to state it would support a referral of Burma to the International Criminal Court.
Other work with the Global Justice Centre included training of the judges of the Iraq High Tribunal and gender justice for Iraqi women. Serene Communications organized a number of events in the Houses of Parliament and Amnesty International and provided pro-bono assistance to the International Coordination for Gender Justice in Iraq. Participation of the Global Justice Centre was also arranged in events at the United Nations at the Commission for the Status of Women on a number of occasions.
